Smash the Slumlords (STS) mission it to create and build a multi-purpose space that will adequately address the needs of inner-city Miami residents affected by the symptoms of gentrification (slumlords, lack of community control and affordability), and that is shaped, developed and implemented by those same residents and allies. STS is planning to have a forum on gentrification, on Monday, February 1, 2016. We are looking for a venue to hold this forum. So can you let me know what is the process to use the Lyrical Stage for such an event.

Good afternoon! I am interested in information regarding renting the lyric theater for a performance. I am the operating manager of a small opera company called Opera Fusion Inc. and we are doing an opera called “Not in my town” by living Ft. Lauderdale composer Michael Ross. Schedule: One day rental: load-in and rehearsal during the day and a performance in the evening, with a one-hour reception in the lobby/foyer area preceding the show.
Technical requirements: please see attached tech rider.
Non-profit status: we are a non-profit, so any discounts you have available would be appreciated
Dates: a weekday during January – April of 2016
How many seats do your venues have? And do you have anything available during those dates?

I would like to get information on using your venue for our 5th annual Women’s Expo. I would like to know if Sunday, May 15, 2016; 1pm-6pm is available. At the Women’s Expo we feature local and distance vendors who offer a day of relaxation, networking, and small business marketing, and socializing for women. The Women’s Expo from the past has included fitness classes, workshops, clothing and accessory boutiques, hair and body product shops, a nutritionist and up to 150 attendees. It is our expression of giving women what they need to learn about professionalism, beauty and loving the skin, they’re in.
We have held our event in Miramar in the past and we are looking to move to Miami. I hope to hear back from you soon.

Hello My name is Joab Dumornay I am representing S.A.S.A (Supreme Artist Surpassing All) a spoken word company that promotes the beauty of poetry as well as work with high school youth teaching them public speaking through poetry. I am Very interested in using the your theatre. We would like to use the theater for about 2 hours to film 2 of our poets performing on stage. This will not be like a typical event no audience will be in attendance it will be about 3 to 6 people in attendance between performers and camera men. The only technical needs would be stage lights being set up for the filming.
