Brief Description: The collection consists of papers relating to the Gama Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., assembled by The Black Archives out of donations from Gwendolyn H. Welters, Dianna H. Rolle and Dorothy M. Hart. The collection reflects the chapter's activities relating to past presidents, charter members, founders, events and community service. The materials include color photographs, newspaper clippings, calendars, a scrapbook, and event programs. The Gamma Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was the first graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. chartered in the state of Florida; it was chartered in 1930.
