Brief Description: This collection contains documents, photographs, newspapers, certificates, books, booklets, programs, artifacts, and posters containing information on various people, families, organizations, fraternities, sororities, businesses, churches, schools and universities in and around South Florida. The collection was donated and created by Mrs. Gwendolyn H. Welters (1924-2013). Mrs. Welters was a secretary, educator and administrator with a career spanning 40 years in the Miami-Dade Public School system. She was active in the community and was involved in various clubs, churches, and organizations. She was married to Dr. Warren Welters, a registered pharmasist, who ran the Brownsville Drug Store, where Mrs. Welters also worked.
