Biographical Note for Shannon, Marian H. : Shannon graduated from Booker T. Washington High School.  She is one of three women to have served as president of the Florida State Teachers Association (FTSA).  She was the last full term president during the merger with Florida Education Association (FEA).  She served in community, religious, educational and fraternal organizations.  Shannon has been a member of Bethel AME Church since 1938 and is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
