Brief Description: This collection consists of programs presented at The Black Archives Charter Day Honors Luncheons. The Charter Day Honors Luncheon honored and recognized contributions by African Americans to the heritage of South Florida and celebrated community members’ milestones. It was also a fundraiser for The Black Archives. The first Charter Day Honors Luncheon was held in 1989 to commemorate the founding of The Black Archives by Dr. Dorothy Jenkins Fields in 1977. The last Luncheon was held in 2007.
