Biographical Note for Tyson, Wycliffe : Wycliffe was born in the island of Nevis, West Indies, the son of Mrs. Margery Tyson and Samuel Tyson. He grew up to middle class parents and livedon the island until age fifteen. His mother immigrated to the U.S. after his father died, and brought him, along with three other siblings.
